Jay Martin

Jay is a native of North Carolina and has invested nearly 20 years of his life in Washington and is proud to call Beaufort County home. Jay graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1984 and also received a Masters of Divinity in 1991. He wears both the hat of pastor and realtor and has found a wonderful complimentary balance in both vocations. He pastors the Church of the Good Shepherd here in Washington.

Jay has been a licensed Real Estate broker since 1984 and has been a multi-million dollar producer consistently in buyers and seller’s markets. He served the Washington Beaufort County Board of Realtors as President in 2012. Jay loves being an ‘agent’ in the purest sense of the word – serving his clients as he would folks in his church, with care, with undivided attention, and with the relentless pursuit of their best interests.

Jay and his wife Jeanne have four sons who have flourished in Beaufort County Public Schools. All four sons are Eagle Scouts and have attended UNC. Jeanne teaches nursing at East Carolina University and she and Jay are very involved in community life and love to write new chapters in the ‘story’ of this magnificent corner of creation!

In times of challenge and uncertainty, Jay is the ideal agent to be a ‘non-anxious’ presence in the process of finding and acquiring a haven of a home in the midst of any storms!
